Ni-Based Coatings for Oil and Gas Industry Fabricated by Cold Gas Spraying

This paper presents the results of study nickel-based coatings fabricated by cold gas spraying. In this study, compositions based on Ni, Ni–Cu, Ni–Zn, and Ni–Al2O3/TiC applied to low-alloyed steel bases were investigated. The composition, type powder (mechanical mix or mechanically alloying), thickness varied choose optimal characteristics for recovery, repair procedures, specific applications in oil industry media. second phase was added Ni-based increase corrosion wear resistance. Pure nickel also studied as a benchmark. Corrosion resistance means electrochemical testing autoclave simulated oilfield conditions. Hydroabrasive using unique bench.
